About The Position

The Assistant Toddler Teacher implements the AEA curriculum and engages children in developmentally appropriate activities in a nurturing classroom environment. The teacher inspires young minds and fosters a love of learning while working with a supportive team to create a positive, enriching educational experience. The role includes assessing children’s growth and areas for improvement, holding formal meetings with parents, assisting with diaper changes, and learning Amazing Explorers Academy’s policies, procedures, and expectations.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
CDA or higher in Early Childhood Education, or 45 hours of training.
Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility.
Pleasant, friendly demeanor and outgoing personality.
Highly professional and dependable.

Responsibilities

Maintain classroom appearance, cleanliness, and safety.
Complete daily notes, accident reports, attendance records, and other necessary paperwork.
Attend staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings.
Supervise and assist children during activities.
Provide counseling for social, academic, or adjustment issues.
Plan and implement lesson plans, programs, and schedules.
Prepare instructional aids and materials.
Assist with meal times and cleanup.
Ensure equipment is in good condition and used properly.
Arrange the classroom to create well-defined interest areas.
Maintain an organized and clean classroom.
Communicate with parents and maintain developmental profiles.
Schedule and conduct parent/teacher conferences.
Manage classroom bulletin boards and the family information board.
Perform assigned duties.
Conduct assessments to document children’s growth and areas for improvement.
Assist with diaper changes.
Learn and follow Amazing Explorers Academy policies, procedures, and expectations.
