About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher in Elma, New York. The role works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children, following NAEYC guidelines. The assistant helps with classroom instruction, child safety and supervision, activities, classroom setup, and communication with parents or guardians. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided; prior classroom experience is not required. The pay range is $16.00–$18.00 per hour, and the position has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
