About The Position

Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking Assistant Teachers to work with infants, toddlers, and as floater teachers. The role supports a curriculum that broadens children’s perspectives and understanding of the world beyond their community. The Academy offers on-the-job training and opportunities for career development from Assistant Teacher through Center Director. Assistant Teachers work with Lead Teachers to facilitate daily activities and keep classrooms running smoothly, partner with families to nurture and care for children, use electronic daily tracking to document children’s milestones, and follow enhanced safety guidelines to maintain clean and safe classrooms. Employment is contingent on successful completion of background checks, pre-hire screenings, and onboarding. Employment is at-will.

Requirements

Be at least 19 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Demonstrated experience working with children.

Nice To Haves

Child care, daycare, or preschool experience is preferred.
Early childhood coursework, a CDA, or a degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work as a team with the Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and ensure the classroom is functioning smoothly.
Partner with families to nurture and care for their children.
Use electronic daily tracking to document children’s special milestones.
Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep the classroom clean and safe.
Visually supervise children at all times.
