Assistant Childcare Teacher ($13-$17)
About The Position
Angie's Angels Child Development is seeking a full-time Childcare Teacher / Assistant Teacher for Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-K classrooms. Placement depends on experience, interests, and current center needs. The role works alongside classroom leaders to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment and support children through daily routines and learning experiences. The center offers a Reggio-inspired, play-based early childhood environment with supportive leadership and collaborative classroom teams. Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule, such as 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., within center hours of 5:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. No formal childcare experience is required; training is provided for a dependable, caring candidate eager to learn.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to complete required trainings, including CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with children in childcare, daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar settings.
- Interest in early childhood education or child development.
- Child Development Associate (CDA).
- Dependable, patient, caring, and team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Help prepare and facilitate developmentally appropriate learning and play activities.
- Supervise children during play, learning, meals, outdoor time, and transitions.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom documentation and daily records.
- Communicate respectfully with families and team members.
- Follow state licensing requirements and center policies.
- Collaborate with classroom and center leadership to support consistent program quality.
