About The Position
Freedom is seeking a Junior Software Developer to support Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of enterprise corporate applications. The role supports the Tracking Repository for Incoming Orders application, which serves users across government enterprise business functions and secure environments. The position offers telework up to one day per week. Working with a team of three developers, the developer will write code, build features, maintain the application, respond to user issues, fix bugs, and improve performance. The role also involves developing monitoring systems to identify potential problems before outages, managing Docker containers, diagnosing technical issues across code, infrastructure, and data, and applying data security and integrity practices. The team uses Agile methods, including sprint planning and stand-up meetings, and works with technologies such as Python, Docker, Django, AWS, Java, JavaScript, VueJS, PostgreSQL, and TypeScript.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and three years of software development/engineering experience, or seven years of software development/engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with front-end technologies, including JavaScript.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Experience developing and updating technical documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.
- Experience with Java, Django, or VueJS.
- Experience managing systems in a virtual hosting environment, including AWS.
- Experience with PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with Docker for containerization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD.
- Experience with Vuetify.
- Experience with Vite.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of three developers to enhance the Tracking Repository for Incoming Orders application.

- Participate in Agile practices, including sprint planning and stand-up meetings, and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
