About The Position

The Software Developer will build and maintain full-stack applications, including frontend, backend, APIs, and infrastructure. The role takes end-to-end ownership of the company's Shopify app, from the customer checkout experience to tools merchants use in Shopify Admin. It involves developing integrations with Shopify, other e-commerce platforms, and external partners such as payment providers, banks, claims administrators, and insurance carriers. The developer will build reliable and secure systems for billing, payouts, claims processing, and customer data management; develop data models and workflows for insurance products, claims processing, and merchant analytics; and manage cloud infrastructure, deployments, databases, background jobs, and monitoring. Working directly with the CEO, the developer will translate business priorities into technical solutions, implement experimentation and analytics tools to improve customer conversion, establish engineering best practices, and make architectural decisions to support growth from dozens to thousands of merchants.
