About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Sensors - Sensor Research and Analysis Division is seeking a Software Developer to support radar design, hardware builds, algorithm and software development, HWIL testing, and analysis across research, development, and operational tasks. The role primarily involves designing, implementing, and optimizing real-time software for RF seeker capabilities and signal-processing pipelines. The developer will maintain familiarity with supported fielded systems, investigate emerging RF seeker technologies, and produce studies to inform customers about technology advancements. These studies may include MATLAB modeling, closed-loop simulation, and validation on radar hardware. The developer will work with algorithm development engineers to transition prototype algorithms, including MATLAB and Python models, into robust, maintainable, high-performance modern C++ software architectures for real-time and embedded environments. The role also participates in closed-loop simulations, HWIL integration, system validation on radar hardware, and radar development and testing. The developer presents study progress and findings to government and prime contractor stakeholders.
