About The Position
US Foods is seeking a Shuttle Driver to join their team in Charleston, SC. This role involves safely driving trucks to and from remote dispatch sites, potentially performing backhaul or delivery driver duties, and conducting pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections. Drivers are considered crucial faces of the organization, expected to uphold integrity and reliability while building customer relationships.
Requirements
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- 6 months commercial driving experience required
- Doubles endorsement required AND minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements required
- Must be comfortable working overnight
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
Nice To Haves
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
Responsibilities
