Requirements

• High school degree or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.
• English speaking and writing skills.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible availability for a full-time work schedule that includes a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency.

• Passion for helping others in an urgent care environment.
• Ability to maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility throughout scheduled shifts, excluding meal and break time.
• Ability to lift light to moderate weights at times, such as boxes of medical or facility supplies.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures, including urine drug screens, lab processing, fit testing, rapid point-of-care testing, urinalysis, EKGs, and procedure setup.
• Maintain DOH compliance for site laboratories and exam rooms, including logbooks, checking expiration dates on medications and supplies, and proper specimen handling.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, X-rays, or other on-site facilities as needed.
• Facilitate diagnostic tests, such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound, and referrals to medical specialists for follow-up care through Aftercare.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians by phone under physician guidance.
• Help maintain a clean, courteous, and professional work environment.
• Ensure the site is fully stocked with supplies.
• Provide compassionate patient care and outstanding customer service while following established protocols and work processes.
• Assist site management with directing patient flow, inventory, and lab follow-up.
• Maintain a quick pace throughout scheduled shifts in a fast-paced urgent care facility, excluding meal and break time.
