Research Manager Jobs

The University of California, San Francisco’s (UCSF) Clinical and Translational Science Institute’s (CTSI) Clinical Research Services Unit (CRS) is recruiting for a Nurse Manager position. This role involves supervising and supporting clinical research staff, including research nurses and hospital assistants/phlebotomists, at CRS’ Mission Bay and ZSFG sites. The Nurse Manager will report to the Director of Nursing and manage clinical research activities at these locations, overseeing the implementation of IRB-approved federally and industry-funded protocols. The position requires professional nursing knowledge, strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and effective communication with principal investigators, the clinical research community, and UCSF and ZSFG medical center representatives and leadership. The Nurse Manager will also contribute to CTSI’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives. CRS integrates the activities of multiple clinical research sites providing adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient clinical services to support the translation of clinical research ideas into successful protocols. CRS offers core research services such as adult and pediatric nursing, phlebotomy, and biospecimen processing.
