About The Position

Requirements

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
• Current ALS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• One year of acute care experience.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintain current certification.
• Demonstrated ability to practice independently within 24 hours of arrival on the unit.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care across multiple units within credentialed competency levels and support coverage where demand exceeds core staffing.
• Practice as a fully accountable registered nurse in variable patient care units; orient quickly and maintain consistent care across settings.
• Direct and guide patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing care standards.
• Communicate changes in a patient's clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptoms to the physician.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment.
• Maintain knowledge of EMTALA regulations and report child or adult abuse to appropriate agencies and the Hospital Social Worker.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
