About The Position

Requirements

• BSN required, or commitment to obtain a BSN within three years of the hire date.
• Experience caring for high-acuity patients.
• At least two years of stepdown experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Cardiac dysrhythmia proficiency.
• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Delaware.

Nice To Haves

• Previous critical care experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for high-acuity cardiac patients, including patients requiring advanced therapies.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, medical residents, cardiac surgeons, and physician assistants.
• Participate in daily patient-focused rounds.
• Titrate multiple vasoactive medications.
• Manage invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Manage ventilators and support rapid weaning.
• Care for patients with intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ventricular assist devices (VADs), and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
