About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, placing registered nurses in short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system. Travel opportunities may be nationwide or regional. This position is for Labor & Delivery at St. Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, with a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts on nights, and the gross weekly rate is $3,132. The nurse must be willing and qualified to float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions. The role calls for independent practice within the nurse’s license, knowledge, experience, and scope of practice; accountability for delegation and clinical decisions; collaboration with stakeholders; and contribution to quality improvement. Nurses are expected to adapt to new responsibilities, ideas, cultural differences, and competing priorities.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Hold valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
Have at least two years of recent clinical experience for Maternal Services and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
Maintain credentials required for the specialty area.
Obtain BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentials through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, new ideas, cultural differences, and competing priorities.
