About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution. Travel RNs fill short- and long-term assignments throughout the health system, with nationwide and regional opportunities. Nurses may work across the hospital, multiple hospital locations, or regions, and experience a variety of practice settings while traveling locally or nationally.

The RN applies professional nursing practice, works independently within their license and scope of knowledge and experience, remains accountable for delegation and decisions, collaborates with stakeholders to support quality improvement, and adapts to new responsibilities, ideas, cultural differences, and competing priorities.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state or states of practice or employment.
• At least two years of recent clinical experience for Labor & Delivery and other listed specialties outside Med Surg, Tele, and PCU.
• Maintain credentials required for the specialty area, such as ACLS or TNCC.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Be willing and qualified to float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions.
• Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Act independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
• Remain accountable for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes.
• Demonstrate agility and willingness to take on new and additional responsibilities.
• Embrace new ideas and cultural differences while managing competing priorities.
