About The Position

FirstChoice is Trinity Health’s mobile staffing solution, placing Registered Nurses in short- and long-term assignments across the health system. This position supports Labor & Delivery and may involve assignments at different hospitals or locations, locally, regionally, or nationally. Nurses are expected to float as qualified and willing, practice independently within their license and experience, and contribute to collaborative, quality-focused care. The assignment is at St Alphonsus Health System in Boise, Idaho, for 13 weeks, with a start date listed as ASAP. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts on days, and the gross weekly rate is $2,268.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice or employment.
At least two years of recent clinical experience for specialties other than Med Surg, Tele, and PCU, including Critical Care, Surgical Services, Maternal Services, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health.
Obtain and maintain credentials required for the specialty area (for example, ACLS or TNCC). BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be obtained through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

Float throughout the hospital and/or across multiple hospital locations or regions as qualified and willing.
Apply the standard elements of professional nursing practice: assessment, outcomes identification and solutions, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Practice independently and appropriately within the limits of licensure, knowledge, and experience.
Maintain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality and improvement practices and outcomes.
Adapt to new and additional responsibilities, embrace new ideas and cultural differences, and manage competing priorities.
