About The Position
The Radiology Patient Assistant helps patients feel comfortable, cared for, and supported throughout their imaging experience. Working closely with radiologic technologists and registered nurses, the assistant helps operations run smoothly from the front desk to the imaging suite. The role assists radiologic technologists with patient gowning and screening, prepares and stocks rooms, and helps move patients onto MR/CT tables. Other duties may be assigned to assist radiologic technologists in performing imaging procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Ability to lift and/or move patients on MR/CT tables.
Nice To Haves
- Patient experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist radiologic technologists with patient gowning and screening.
- Prepare and stock rooms.
- Lift and/or move patients onto MR/CT tables.
- Perform other duties to assist radiologic technologists with imaging procedures.
