About The Position
The Maintenance Technician supports the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and reports to the Quality Assurance Specialist. This position is 100% on-site.
Requirements
- Must document all findings and repairs, and provide updates to the QA Manager.
- Must respond to service calls and schedule assessments within 24 hours of notification.
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Responsibilities
- Respond On-Call: Be available to report on-site promptly to assess and document issues.
- Assess & Repair: Diagnose issues and perform repairs related to HVAC systems, Roof/water intrusion (mate line issues), Electrical/power issues, Ceiling/floor tile damage, Doors, locks, and adjustments, General modular unit maintenance.
- Operate Equipment: Use of Forklifts (including 36K models), Telehandlers, Scissor lifts and manlifts.
- Coordinate Contractors: Oversee third-party contractors (HVAC, electricians, locksmiths, etc.) as needed.
