About The Position

KOMAN Advantage, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee multiple federal projects from planning through completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to guide project managers while ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality goals. The Senior Project Manager will oversee each project from conception to the finished structure, interfacing with both construction professionals and the client, and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. This role also manages subcontractors and coordinates their work to ensure the project schedule is met. The position formulates overall business strategy, manages talent, and establishes operations' business practices for the local business unit. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager understands government documentation requirements, maintains the deficiency log by performing timely inspections to achieve a 0-punch list project, and delegates responsibility while developing these skills in their project managers. They serve as a mentor and teacher to direct reports to assist in career development and manage all projects under their responsibility for compliance, both contractually and financially. Building relationships with customers to facilitate more opportunities is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of project management experience with a General Contractor in commercial or industrial construction.
  • 5+ federal government contracting experience is required.
  • Microsoft Projects or P6 scheduling experience is required.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple Project Managers and projects.
  • Ability to build project budgets, forecasts, and coast loaded schedules is required.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 30, CQM-C, First Aid/CPR, and EM-385.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related business field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working government clients such as DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, Air Force, Coast Guard is highly desired.
  • Preference will be given to Natives of Kodiak, Inc. Shareholders and Descendants of Shareholders in accordance with Title 43 U.S. Code 1626(g) and Title 42 U.S. Code 2000e - 2(i).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee each project from conception to the finished structure, interfacing with both construction professionals and the client, and ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints.
  • Manages subcontractors and coordinates subcontractor work to ensure the project schedule is met.
  • Understands construction sequencing: can conceptually build the project in its entirety and then execute the plan.
  • Will oversee all staff, budgets and operations of the local business unit.
  • This position formulates overall business strategy, manages talent and establishes operations� business practices.
  • Understands government documentation requirements.
  • Maintains proper use of the deficiency log by performing timely inspections and using the deficiency log in order to have a 0-punch list project.
  • Understands when and how to delegate responsibility and works to develop those skills in his project managers.
  • Serves as a mentor and teacher to direct reports to assist in career development.
  • Manages all projects under their responsibility for compliance, both contractually and financially.
  • Builds relationships with customers to facilitate more opportunities.
