Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree program graduating in December 2026 or Spring 2027
• Strong academic record and extracurricular achievement
• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of financial markets
• General knowledge of financial strategy / accounting / economic / capital management principles
• Excellent research and analytical skills, able to collect, analyze and interpret data
• Experience in numerical and data analysis
• Detail and results orientated
• Strong interpersonal skills used within a demanding team environment
• Demonstrated proactivity, resiliency, positive attitude and high motivation
• Ability to attentively review, assess and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong work ethic and a high level of professional integrity
• Excellent data manipulation/Excel/spreadsheet skills including VBA
• Experience accessing data streams, such as Bloomberg
• Database experience helpful (SQL, Oracle)
• Coding, programming is always an asset!
• Typically between 3 - 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Familiarity with institutional equity markets.
• Series 7, 63 licenses.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, investment and financial reports.
• Strong familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Reuters Plus, Bloomberg, public finance/business news websites is desired.
• I-Star familiarity.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks as assigned.
• Developing presentation materials using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
• Fielding client phone inquiries and providing other client contact support as necessary.
• Providing a markets-based suite of sales and trading solutions to Institutional, Corporate, and Retail clients.
• Offering a full spectrum of integrated capabilities to deliver leading market insight, risk management, and execution services.
• Providing competitive pricing to all clients and seeking out new opportunities with prospective clients.
• Maximizing profit while prudently minimizing the bank’s exposure and adhering to regulatory statutes.
• Acting as a point person to provide client support in the form of proposals, marketing material, event planning, and scheduling.
• Responding to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community in a professional manner and determining acceptable solutions.
• Managing the flow of inquiries, market data, and other information from clients.
• Routing client calls appropriately and responding quickly to client questions.
• Developing an understanding of client needs and outcomes.
• Coordinating conference calls, client events and meetings.
• Maintaining a proactive, client service focus in order to meet client needs and increase revenue.
• Contacting customers to present available investment services and developing client prospects.
• Verifying that all confirms on trades or sales are accurate and promptly delivered.
• Communicating transaction details to the brokerage community and custodians.
• Resolving settlement issues related to incorrect billing.
• Answering phones, filing, faxing, and coordinating meeting and travel arrangements.
• Developing strong market knowledge to provide comprehensive service to clients, develop new solutions, and construct compelling recommendations.
• Reading, analyzing and interpreting common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Supporting the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Building effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ensuring alignment between stakeholders.
• Cultivating strong relationships with the research team.
• Using analytical skills and applying appropriate technical concepts to complete and lead technical and financial reports/analyses.
• Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

• Supporting change management activities.
• Executing a variety of administrative and analytical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Administering all aspects of the sales and or trading desk, record keeping, reporting, and file maintenance.

• Providing feedback on, and supporting continuous improvement opportunities.
