About The Position

The BU Procurement Program Analyst supports the development and execution of sourcing and supplier readiness activities for Copeland’s new product introductions and strategic platform initiatives. This role involves working closely with Procurement Program Managers, engineering, operations, and supplier quality teams to ensure suppliers are onboarded, qualified, and prepared to meet program timelines and business objectives. It is ideal for a developing procurement professional seeking to build program management capabilities while contributing to highly visible new product launches, coordinating supplier activities, tracking progress, and supporting sourcing strategies for successful program delivery. Copeland has $5B of global revenue and is a leading provider of compression products, electronics, software, and solutions across HVACR applications, with a focus on environmental sustainability and energy management solutions globally. The newly renovated Sidney campus, which is the headquarters for the HVACR Americas business unit, has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor and 120k square feet of lab facilities, employing approximately 1600 people.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, operations, engineering support, or program coordination.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier management concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Up to 10% travel, depending on program needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to new product introduction (NPI) or supplier onboarding activities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with commodities such as castings, steel, stampings, or plastics.

Responsibilities

  • Support supplier onboarding and readiness activities for new product introductions, including tracking quality, capacity, cost, and delivery milestones.
  • Assist in managing sourcing-related timelines, deliverables, and risk tracking.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations to ensure sourcing requirements align with program needs.
  • Prepare materials and support cross-functional program reviews and status updates.
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers aligned with program requirements.
  • Support supplier capability assessments and documentation.
  • Contribute to dual-sourcing and supply continuity initiatives under guidance from senior team members.
  • Collaborate with Supplier Quality and Commodity Management teams to track supplier performance and improvement actions.
  • Support sourcing execution activities, including RFQs, supplier communications, and documentation.
  • Assist with cost tracking, data analysis, and early supplier engagement activities.
  • Maintain program trackers, dashboards, and sourcing documentation.
  • Monitor supplier risks and escalate issues through appropriate channels.
  • Maintain accurate program reporting and procurement deliverables.
  • Support compliance with procurement policies and internal governance processes.
