About The Position
The position is for an Industrial Painter/Sandblaster for commercial work in Nashua, NH. The role involves preparing surfaces using abrasive blasting techniques and applying protective coatings such as paint, epoxy, or specialized finishes to various industrial structures including metal and concrete.
Requirements
- Experience with sandblasting and industrial painting (preferred)
- Knowledge of coating materials and surface prep techniques
- Ability to operate spray equipment and blasting machinery
- Understanding of safety standards and PPE usage
- Physical stamina (lifting, standing, working at heights or confined spaces)
Responsibilities
- Perform sandblasting (abrasive blasting) to remove rust, old paint, grease, and contaminants
- Clean and prepare surfaces using solvents, pressure washers, or mechanical tools
- Mask and protect areas not intended for coating
- Apply coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes
- Mix and match paints, primers, and coatings to specifications
- Apply protective coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, or fireproofing materials
- Operate sandblasting equipment, spray painting tools, and air compressors
- Inspect equipment for safety and functionality
- Inspect surfaces before and after coating
- Ensure coatings meet thickness and quality standards
