About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) for its new rehabilitation hospital in Dallas, which is scheduled to open in the fall. The role provides direct patient care to a diverse patient population, including chronically and critically ill patients who require extended hospital care. The assistant plans and implements individualized treatment programs according to occupational therapy principles and practices under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. The position requires flexibility to meet the needs of the PAM Health system across different facilities. Prior inpatient hospital experience is welcome, though candidates may also demonstrate a commitment and desire to learn.
Requirements
- Be licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the state where the hospital or clinic is located.
- Hold current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of clinical experience is preferred.
- Prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the direction of the Occupational Therapist.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs for individual patients in accordance with occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Remain flexible to meet the needs of the system across different facilities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
