About The Position

We are seeking Occupational Therapist Assistants (OTAs) to provide home-care therapy in the Pompano Beach and Fort Lauderdale territories. The OTA meets with multiple patients each day in their homes to discuss treatment needs and goals and help develop customized, comprehensive therapy plans. The role includes working with other doctors and members of patients’ health teams to arrange follow-up care, educating patients about lifestyle changes, and providing a positive, affirming presence. The ideal candidate is compassionate, communicates well, and is comfortable handling multiple cases.

Requirements

Must be licensed or registered by the state.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to remain positive and compassionate while working with patients over an extended period.

Responsibilities

Meet with patients from diverse backgrounds and compassionately discuss their health concerns and therapy needs.
Assist with evaluations, development of the rehabilitative plan of care, and periodic re-evaluations as required.
Participate in preparing clinical and daily progress notes and prepare periodic summary reports.
Work with the OTR to instruct patients and their families and assist in teaching exercise programs.
Write daily patient progress notes and submit them within 48 hours.
Work with doctors and other members of patients’ health teams to arrange follow-up care.
Help educate patients about lifestyle changes.
