About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a Water/Wastewater Operator's License within one year, including a Level 1 license.
• Ability to follow manuals and operating instructions.
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater facilities.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the internet.
• Communicate clearly and professionally; contribute to a positive internal and external customer experience; willingness to help others; maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Pay attention to detail, identify and solve problems, escalate issues appropriately, and check work for quality.
• Work well with supervision, complete projects, follow company policies and standard operating procedures, and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, act in accordance with company vision, mission, and values, take accountability for performance, and be willing to take on additional assignments.
• Frequently lift 50–60 pounds; load, unload, and move large equipment and tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
• Offers are contingent on successful background screening, drug testing, and driving record review where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment and machinery, including valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, and vehicles.
• Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance of production wells and water/wastewater unit processes, and perform basic laboratory analyses.
• Perform and document treatment processes and maintenance of treatment facility equipment.
• Document plant performance, including daily flow and electrical and chemical usage and dosage.
• Respond to callouts and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation, and electrical support.
• Keep facilities clean, neat, and secure.
• Provide customer service functions when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call assignments.
