About The Position

As a Telephone Operator, you create the first impression for Kiawah Island Golf Resort by answering incoming calls efficiently and with a friendly attitude. You are expected to show compassion and consideration, provide guests with accurate information, and patiently resolve concerns while graciously meeting their needs. This role is in a 24-hour department that cannot accommodate set schedules and must be performed onsite due to the job’s daily needs. The position also involves receiving guest laundry and dispatching it for delivery, as well as entering guest and employee requests into the computer system. A background check is required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds across a short-to-medium distance.
• Must be able to work onsite due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff.
• Take and execute wake-up calls.
• Receive guest laundry and dispatch it for delivery.
• Resolve guest challenges.
• Take guests’ and employees’ requests and enter them into the computer system.
• Uphold the resort’s core values, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
