About The Position

As a Telephone Operator, you set the first impression for Kiawah Island Golf Resort by answering incoming calls efficiently and with a friendly attitude. Operators show compassion and consideration, provide guests with accurate and precise information, and patiently resolve their concerns while graciously meeting their needs. This is an onsite role in a 24-hour department that cannot accommodate set schedules.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort is a destination for luxury golf and beach vacations near Charleston, South Carolina. The resort offers Five-Star accommodations, resort amenities, recreational activities, and golf courses. The actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process; the rates shown on job boards are auto-generated.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive and energetic attitude.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good to excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must pass a background check.
• Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds across a short-to-medium distance.
• Must work onsite due to the daily needs of the job.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and direct them to appropriate staff.
• Take and execute wake-up calls.
• Receive guest laundry and dispatch it for delivery.
• Resolve guest challenges.
• Take guests’ and employees’ requests and enter them into the computer system.
• Uphold the resort’s core values, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
