About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers access to a large number of loads, experienced dispatchers with broker contacts, and rates that can be negotiated with dispatchers. Loads are personalized according to the owner-operator’s preferences. Stated rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workdays are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
You and your drivers must be at least 21 years old.
You and your drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinters must be no older than 2016.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Enter into a written independent contractor agreement as an owner-operator.

Nice To Haves

Russian language skills are accepted.
A Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator.
Register with and obtain approval from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting loads.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept loads suited to those preferences.
