About The Position

Superior Plus Propane is seeking an experienced Terminal Operator for its Plainfield, Connecticut location. The role supports propane terminal operations, including handling railcars and preparing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining tanks. The operator also loads trucks, monitors inventory, maintains the yard, and communicates with managers, drivers, and customers. Evening and weekend shifts and weekly overtime are required. The position pays $20.00–$25.00 per hour and is eligible for overtime pay after scheduled weekly hours are met.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree.
• CDL Class B or Class A required.
• Ability to multitask in a high-paced atmosphere and demonstrate strong time-management skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Evening and weekend shifts and weekly overtime are required.

Nice To Haves

• Propane industry experience preferred.
• 3.1 or other certifications preferred.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload propane railcars.
• Identify and correct leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
• Perform maintenance on spare tanks at the plants in preparation for putting them into service.
• Complete tank inspections and repairs.
• Proactively communicate with the CSC Manager, drivers, and customers as necessary.
• Perform daily yard maintenance.
• Load Bobtail and transport trucks using a computerized scale system.
• Conduct daily inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
