Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Good communication skills.
• Unrestricted range of motion; self-motivated and able to work as a team player.
• Strong attention to product color variation, odor sensitivity, and texture.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and maintaining production documentation.
• Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Basic reading and comprehension skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP and hygienic practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely receive, inspect, and process transferred liquid product through dryer and evaporator operations.
• Operate dryer and evaporator equipment according to standard procedures.
• Move materials to and from tanks, clear clogs at the bottom of cyclones and wishbone, and build or dump beds and rotary valves as required.
• Change air-conditioning filters in the drop room; disassemble and clean dryer system filters and atomizer equipment.
• Operate odor-control systems, flow plates, and scrubbers.
• Troubleshoot dryer and evaporator issues.
• Perform Clean-In-Place (CIP) processes according to the diagram layout.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards.
• Complete process charts, related paperwork, and recording documents; use the AX System ERP to locate and complete operations paperwork.
• Follow the SPF Quality Manual, product and ingredient specifications, HACCP standards, GMPs, and applicable EU, non-EU, GMO, and non-GMO standards.
• Calibrate, operate, and read thermometers, pH meters, NIR gauges, scales, and other applicable gauges.
• Identify and describe food-safety risks, including insects, leaks, product failures, foreign objects, and microbial contaminants.
• Operate forklifts and hoists, use production hand tools, and run touch panels and control screens.
• Understand process flow and interactions among equipment.
• Use PPE, follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, observe slip, trip, and fall hazards, handle chemicals properly, and use proper lifting techniques.
• Follow safety-event and accident/incident reporting procedures and attend scheduled safety meetings.
• Communicate and cooperate with the team, maintain a positive attitude, and share process-improvement ideas.
• Follow company policies, rules, and regulations.
• Assist with training and instruction for new hires and employees transferring assignments.
• Participate in GMP, ISO, or FSSC audits as requested.
