About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, and secures and maintains the materials and supplies required for the operation. The role checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards, maintains production records, and follows established safety and quality procedures. The position also helps maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and equipment.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete work area setup.
Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
Stack completed products according to established procedures; when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Maintain production records as required.
Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
