About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through washing and drying by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production. The role supports production flow in an industrial laundry facility and reports to the Production Manager. The operator works as part of a team and may perform different tasks based on daily operational needs. Soiled textiles come from customers including restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a drug screening.

Requirements

Be able to meet the physical demands of the role throughout the entire shift.
Stand and walk for extended periods; reach overhead; push and pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and stoop or bend.
Work in production areas that may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
Successfully complete a drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
Monitor washing and drying cycles and enter required data into automated washing systems.
Maintain efficient textile flow through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next production stage.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, and quality concerns to supervision.
Follow safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support production flow and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Perform different tasks within the team according to daily operational needs.
