About The Position
The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through washing and drying by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next production phase. The role reports to the Production Manager and supports production flow in a team-based industrial laundry environment. The operator may perform different team tasks according to daily operational needs. Soiled textiles come from customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout the work shift, including extended standing and walking, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, grasping and handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending.
- Ability to meet the physical demands for the entire shift.
- Adherence to safety procedures and proper use of required PPE.
Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
- Monitor washing and drying cycles and enter required data into automated washing systems.
- Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next production stage.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
- Follow safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support production flow and work as part of a team in a production environment.
- Perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs.
