About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through the washing and drying stages by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production. The role supports production flow in an industrial laundry facility and works as part of a team, with flexibility to perform different tasks based on daily operational needs. The position reports to the Production Manager.

The work involves physical tasks throughout the shift, including standing and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, grasping and handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending. Production areas may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Soiled textiles come from customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

• Be able to meet the physical demands of the job for the entire shift.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; reach overhead; push and pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and stoop or bend.
• Adhere to safety procedures and properly use required PPE.
• Successfully complete drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
• Monitor washing and drying cycles and input required data into automated washing systems.
• Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
• Follow safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Support production flow and work as part of a team in a production environment.
• Perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs.
