About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through the washing and drying stages by loading and unloading textiles into equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production. The role supports production flow and works as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. The operator reports to the Production Manager. The position involves physical tasks throughout the work shift, including standing and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending. Production areas may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands of the position for the entire shift.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, reach overhead, push and pull carts or bins, grasp and handle textiles, lift up to 25 pounds, and stoop or bend.
Ability to work in production areas that may include temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
Successful completion of drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
Monitor washing and drying cycles and input required data into automated washing systems.
Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
Follow safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Work as part of a team and perform different tasks as daily operational needs require.
