About The Position

The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through washing and drying by loading and unloading equipment, monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next production phase. The role supports production flow in an industrial laundry facility and reports to the Production Manager. The position involves physical work throughout the shift, including standing and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending. Production areas may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust. Textiles come from customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of drug screening.

Requirements

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role throughout the entire shift, including standing and walking for extended periods, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling carts or bins, handling textiles, lifting up to 25 pounds, and stooping or bending.
Ability to work in production areas that may involve temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
Successful completion of drug screening as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts, hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
Monitor washing and drying cycles and input required data into automated washing systems.
Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport materials to the next stage of production.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality concerns to supervision.
Follow safety procedures and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Support production flow and work as part of a team in a production environment.
Perform different tasks within the team based on daily operational needs.
