About The Position
Taylor Corporation is seeking a Press / Print Operating Technician I to join its production team. The role sets up, operates, and monitors printing equipment to ensure customer orders are produced accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards. Equipment may include high-speed multicolor digital printing equipment with finishing capabilities and four-color-or-greater printing presses with finishing equipment. The position works Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. The role requires operating machinery, handling print materials, moving around the facility, and regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying more than 25 pounds. Requirements
- Mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
- Ability to operate equipment to meet established production and quality standards.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written work instructions.
- Ability to communicate professionally with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Regularly remain in a stationary position.
- Constantly operate machinery and handle products, including print materials.
- Frequently move inside the facility.
- Regularly move more than 25 pounds by lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities
- Read and follow detailed job orders, identify potential errors, and take corrective action as needed.
- Set up and adjust printing presses and production equipment according to job specifications.
- Operate assigned printing and finishing equipment.
- Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make adjustments to meet customer specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify mechanical issues, and notify maintenance when necessary.
- Start and operate production jobs according to established schedules and priorities.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
- Meet production standards for output, waste, and spoilage.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area to support efficient shift changeovers.
- Complete production logs, job documentation, and related paperwork accurately.
