About The Position

Pediatric Partners is seeking a PRN Pediatric Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services for children and families. This role offers flexible scheduling, allowing therapists to pick up visits based on their availability and caseload needs. The position focuses on helping children build confidence, independence, and everyday skills in their natural environments. It's an ideal opportunity for an OT who desires flexible pediatric work, practices family-centered care, and wants to make a difference without a full-time commitment. The role involves supporting skill development in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, play, self-care, daily routines, and overall functional independence. Therapists will work closely with parents and caregivers, recommend adaptive equipment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Active Occupational Therapy license, OT/L, in Texas
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with children and families
  • A compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented approach to care
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including assisting with positioning, transfers, and therapeutic activities as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Home health experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child’s needs, goals, and family priorities
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services in home-based settings
  • Support skill development related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, play, self-care, daily routines, and functional independence
  • Monitor progress and modify treatment plans to support meaningful outcomes
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train families on proper use and integration into daily routines
  • Partner closely with parents and caregivers to reinforce therapy goals and strategies at home
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, child-centered care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports
