About The Position
Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide patient-centered care in patients’ homes. The position is based in Anmoore, West Virginia, with coverage across Harrison, Marion, Taylor, Barbour, Upshur, Lewis, and Doddridge counties. Full-time and PRN schedules are available. The role offers one-to-one patient care, flexible scheduling, independent work with team support, and opportunities for advancement. A $5,000 sign-on bonus applies to external candidates only. Requirements
- Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
- Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification.
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
- Current CPR certification.
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities intended to restore and reinforce task performance and promote health and self-sufficiency.
- Conduct community reintegration activities to address individuals’ occupational therapy needs during physical activity.
- Train individuals and others involved in their rehabilitation, and document training results.
- Support individuals’ plans of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate.
