About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide patient-centered home health care in Rock Hill, South Carolina, covering York and Lancaster Counties. The position is PRN, with up to 12–15 visits per week. COTAs provide one-to-one care, work independently with team support, and have flexible scheduling options.

The role assists the Occupational Therapist with therapeutic activities that restore and reinforce task performance and promote health and self-sufficiency. It also supports community reintegration, provides rehabilitation training, and documents and reports patients’ status and training results to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities to restore and reinforce task performance and promote overall health and self-sufficiency.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to address individuals’ occupational therapy needs during physical activity.
• Train individuals and others involved in their rehabilitation, and document the results of the training.
• Support individuals’ plans of treatment by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate.
