About The Position

Adoration Home Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide patient-centered home health care in Knoxville, Tennessee, covering Knox, Blount, Morgan, Monroe, Loudon, Roane, McMinn, and Meigs counties. The role provides one-to-one care in patients’ homes, with independent work supported by a team. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requirements

• Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training program.
• Current Occupational Therapist Assistant certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and neuro-rehabilitation techniques.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience assisting in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury or related neurological conditions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing vocational and educational activities designed to restore and reinforce individuals’ task performance and promote health and self-sufficiency.
• Conduct community reintegration activities to address individuals’ occupational therapy needs during physical activity.
• Train individuals and others involved in their rehabilitation, and document training results.
• Support individuals’ treatment plans by documenting and reporting status changes to the rehabilitation specialist, clinical coordinator, attending physician, and other treatment team members as appropriate.
