About The Position

Requirements

• Home Health Aide certificate or Certified Nursing Assistant certification (required).
• Valid driver’s license and insured automobile (required).

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a caregiver or Home Health Aide in healthcare, in homes or facilities (recommended).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job (recommended).

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including toileting or bedpan use, bathing, oral care, shaving, and skin and hair care.
• Assist patients with ambulation and transfers.
• Assist patients with eating and dressing.
• Prepare meals and snacks according to instructions.
• Accompany patients on errands or to medical appointments.
• Perform housekeeping tasks, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and bathroom cleaning.
• Perform patient-specific activities taught by a Right at Home nurse, such as medication reminders, prescribed range-of-motion exercises, preparing special diets, dementia care, and incontinence care.
