About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in providing compassionate care to patients. The role is located at Select Specialty Hospital - Charleston, inside CAMC, and is scheduled for 7–7 day shifts. Compensation is $16.00–$19.50 per hour, with shift differentials for nights and weekends, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
