About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of recovery. The position is located inside ChristianaCare Wilmington in Wilmington, Delaware, and is a full-time day-shift role with 12-hour shifts. Compensation is $19.70–$24.00 per hour based on years of experience, with weekend shift differentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assisting or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Perform patient care services, including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
