About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital-Macomb is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Nursing Assistant provides compassionate care to patients and supports their needs throughout recovery. The position is located in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, and is full-time on a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule. Compensation is up to $24.24 per hour, based on experience. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing Assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assisting.
Active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
