About The Position

This role involves providing direct patient care in a Progressive Care setting. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with complex cardiac conditions and requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. Key responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, titrating medications, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and administering various treatments and therapies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • SD or compact RN license.
  • Proficiency in cardiac and vasoactive drip titration.
  • Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Skill in IV starts.
  • Experience with blood product administration.
  • Experience with CIWA protocol.
  • Experience with drain/tube management.
  • Experience with indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management.
  • Experience with insulin drips (DKA and non-DKA).
  • Experience with continuous bladder irrigation.
  • Experience with chest tube maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac and vasoactive drip titration.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Initiate and manage IV lines.
  • Administer blood products.
  • Manage patients on CIWA protocol.
  • Oversee drain and tube management.
  • Perform indwelling and straight catheter insertion and management.
  • Manage insulin drips for both DKA and non-DKA patients.
  • Perform continuous bladder irrigation.
  • Maintain chest tubes.
