About The Position

Empro Staffing is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses specializing in substance abuse to provide care and support to patients recovering from substance use disorders through treatment and rehabilitation. The role involves direct patient care, medication administration, vital-sign monitoring, support for individualized care plans, patient and family education, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The openings are full-time: two 3:00 PM–11:30 PM positions working five shifts per week, and one 7:00 PM–7:30 AM position working three shifts per week. Both schedules include every other Saturday and Sunday. Pay is $40 per hour, with overtime and holiday pay at $60 per hour. Pay periods run Sunday through Saturday, with weekly direct deposit every Thursday.

Requirements

• Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Strong knowledge of addiction treatment principles and compassionate patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

• Previous experience in substance abuse or mental health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs for patients in substance abuse programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans to support patients’ recovery.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options, coping strategies, and continuing-care resources.
• Accurately document patient care activities and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to substance abuse care.
