About The Position

Empro Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses specializing in substance abuse to support patients recovering from substance use disorders through treatment and rehabilitation. LPNs provide comprehensive patient care in substance abuse programs and work collaboratively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

The position offers $40 per hour, with an overtime and holiday rate of $60. Pay is calculated Sunday through Saturday and issued weekly every Thursday by direct deposit. Full-time openings include two 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m. positions, each working five shifts per week, and one 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. position working three shifts per week. Both schedules include every other Saturday and Sunday.

Requirements

• Completion of a practical nursing program from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Strong knowledge of addiction treatment principles and compassionate patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in substance abuse or mental health nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs for patients in substance abuse programs.
• Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans that support patients’ recovery.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options, coping strategies, and continuing-care resources.
• Accurately document patient care and communicate changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to substance abuse care.
