About The Position
The Driver's responsibility is to safely transport cargo from one branch location to another.
Requirements
- Valid and Current Driver’s license
- Possess an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate and navigate vehicle.
- Ability to understand and operate GPS technology and other relevant apps for travel.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual
- Adaptability to fast-paced and changing work environment.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Plans travel route that will best serve the time of delivery to each location.
- Uses knowledge of local area, GPS and/or mapping applications to avoid high traffic areas and to ensure the shortest and safest route to delivery.
- Arrives at a predetermined location on time for delivery.
- Drives cargo to destination safely and accurately.
- Maintains a record of travel for expenses and tracking purposes.
- Ensures maintenance is up-to-date and confirms there are no mechanical issues.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean vehicle.
- Responsible for reviewing orders prior to delivery.
- Obtain delivery confirmation as required.
- Handle all delivery questions and concerns in a professional manner.
- Comply with relevant transportation and road requirements and safety standards.
