Requirements

• Previous experience in a medical office is required
• Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire
• Completes all tasks within established time frame
• Excellent communication, phone, and organizational skills required
• Computer skills helpful
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles
• Adheres to all Clinic policies and procedures
• HS diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Handle day to day administrative office duties
• Checking patients in and out
• Answering phones
• Scheduling appointments
• Medication pre-authorizations
• Rooming patients
• Taking vitals
• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule
• Answering phones - courteously and professionally
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications
• Process medication pre-authorizations
• Updating insurance information
• Answering general patient questions
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel
• Escorting patients to exam room
• Takes patient vitals
• Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures
• Collecting co-pays
• Preparing and/or submitting charge tickets
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms
• Sorting and filing patient charts
• Other duties as assigned
