About The Position
The Medical Assistant supports medical and nursing staff in providing care and comfort to infant, toddler, preschool, school-age, adolescent, and young adult patients during outpatient clinic appointments. The role performs routine clinical and clerical tasks, including phlebotomy and assistance with the application and removal of casts.
Requirements
- Medical Assistant Certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
Responsibilities
- Collect and report data to assist the multidisciplinary team in evaluating patient needs.
- Perform comprehensive registration and scheduling functions.
- Communicate openly, accurately, and promptly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support effective therapeutic interventions.
- Perform phlebotomy and assist with the application and removal of casts.
